Press Release: Tervis®

pdsCommerce Launches Phase One of a Multi-Phased Functional Re-design and Re-platform for Tervis®

For Immediate Release: Providence, RI – May 16, 2016

pdsCommerce is excited to announce the launch of a new direct to consumer site for Tervis®. This launch, which marks the completion of the first phase of the Tervis engagement with pdsCommerce, includes a complete functional site re-design and re-platform onto a third party cloud commerce solution. The Tervis wholesale site, which will utilize the B2B Xcelerator™ from pdsCommerce to manage its complex matrix of pricing and item availability rules, is scheduled to go live next.

The internal e-commerce, creative and development teams at Tervis worked hand in hand with the strategic consulting and development teams at pdsCommerce to execute the new, fully responsive B2C site. The new site experience touts streamlined navigation and optimized on-site search and merchandising to better showcase the company’s broad portfolio of premium products and designs, along with a simplified checkout experience.  Another major enhancement in this site launch was the re-design and integration of the “design your own” application, which allows consumers to truly customize their own Tervis tumblers by selecting from a library of artwork and/or adding personal photos or text.  The application’s re-design, done in large collaboration with other Tervis partners (Helios and Urban Canvas), now features an optimized and responsive user experience, allowing consumers to customize using their preferred device (mobile, tablet or desktop).

“I’m very proud to be announcing the launch of a new site for such a well-known brand as Tervis,” comments Kevin Kennedy, Founder & CEO at pdsCommerce. “Tervis has a large product catalog with an endless number of combinations of insulated drinkware sizes, colors, designs, and accessories, but the site is well organized, the design is fun and engaging, and functionally, it’s optimized to increase conversion.”

“Our goal was to create a new site experience that was a better measure to the Tervis brand and our premium products. The new now allows us to showcase our 70-year rich heritage throughout the site, while enabling new and returning consumers to explore and find the products and designs of their choice with greater ease,” says Mellisa Allen, Chief Technology Officer at Tervis. “We are thrilled with the advancements and excited for our plans for further evolution.”

The soon-to-launch Tervis B2B site, will have the same look and feel as the B2C site from a design perspective and will share a backend system with the B2C site, affording Tervis a number of operational efficiencies.
